Dr. Fenny Shah – First of all weight loss is very necessary, very important. If we see the national survey, then the weight gain in India has increased a lot in the last ten years. Whatever diet you follow, follow a diet that you enjoy, because if you do not enjoy it, it will not last long.
Dr. Fenny Shah – Dairy products are essential for health. But now they have become a cause of weight loss. This was not the case many years ago. Nowadays we are not getting original dairy products. Original milk is not available. Adulterated milk is being received. There are many such artificial ingredients in it, due to which there is weight gain. There are a lot of bacteria in our gut, good bacteria and bad bacteria – overgrowth of bad bacteria damages the gut flora. Gut flora gets completely destroyed. Yeast begins to form, there may also be swelling in the stomach. There can be many conditions.
Dairy products should not be taken as much as possible so that gut flora improves. The necessary bacteria should be available to the body, the digestion process should be better so that our health can be improved and it can also reduce weight.
Dr. Fenny Shah – If I talk about the common man, we all eat a lot of junk food these days. And it is not possible that if we do not eat rice for two days, then we will not eat it on the third day also. Do not eat rice alone, but also keep healthy options with you. Eat salad, proteins, lentils along with it so that the nutrition of your plate increases. This will make it easier to lose weight. Many eat only twice a day. Skips breakfast. It can harm health. Something should be eaten every 2 hours. What we do not have to do in the weight loss journey is not to eat at all. Because as our age increases, we will definitely need protein and fat in our whole lifestyle. So it is better that we eat everything, but eat at our limit. Otherwise what will happen if you skip a meal, it will increase cravings, it will increase your hunger. Then you will overeat.
Dr. Fenny Shah – No particular diet is wrong. All are made for a particular group.
I said earlier also that all diets are good, but follow the diet which you can follow for many days. Do the diet that you enjoy.
Dr. Fenny Shah – Of course, physical exercise is very important in weight loss. But I would not say that only physical exercise, diet are equally important. If you want to maintain weight, then walking is such a thing that will definitely help. If you walk for 3 minutes after every 1 hour, then your weight will not increase. But if it is a matter of weight loss then gym is necessary.
Many times people follow such a strict diet that the muscles become loose, so it is better that you consult a proper dietician. You can get proper care of what you have to follow, and how to do it. So do physical exercises here, but don’t over do anything. Do as much as the body requires.
Dr. Fenny Shah – I would like to give advice that if you want to lose weight, I am not saying that you should follow a strict diet, you should stop eating, no you should not stop eating. Whatever you like to eat, whatever you want, you can eat that. Eat fruit with your meal, eat fibres to increase nutrition. Overeating will be less, your appetite will automatically improve and you will not overeat. Because your appetite is getting satisfied.
You won’t feel hungry from that. You also have to improve your sleep cycle. Sleep for at least 7 hours, otherwise any diet will be of no use.
